I am looking for a Los Lobotmys tune that was transcribed by Modern Drummer in 1992. There is apparently an amazing solo by Vinnie in it. All I know is that it is the album that has (beside Vinnie) Porcaro and Vega on drums. The tune has a blues feel to it and is in 6.
Could anyone Post it in MP3 format?
Thanks so much in advance...
Peace,

I have 4 CD's for the Carlos Vega tribute concerts with Vinnie and the boyz recored over several years. They have amazing music...Steve L can be a verbal pig, but his playing is always tasty.

no MP3 here...you might want to get the CD from www.audiophileimports.com. every tune on the album is good. Steve Lukather & David Garfield completely go nuts.

yeah that is some insane trading 8s that VC does...this is him at his best, IMHO. when i first heard those 16th note triplets, i nearly fell over !! no one but VC does in-the-pocket "out" soloing like this...
kind of crappy scan, but here is the transcription from MD that is on Roberto's site:

Yes, Lukather is a great musician. I love his solos!
Is he a pig, too? Haha, please share your stories! I've heard a few of them, such as when he 'borrowed' Jamie Lee Curtis' camera at a party and took pictures of his friends 'private parts'. Apparently it turned out to be Jamies daughter's camera, which made things even more inappropriate... Guess who had an angry phone call the day after.

yeah his solo on "little wing" is incredible...
on the verbal pig-ness: the thing that kills me is when he introduces the band, some bullshit about each "member" (he likes that phrase)...stuff like "womens underwear", shoving the end of the eWI (that digital clarinet thing that Brandon plays) someplace bad, jokes, etc. then he gets to Will Lee...before he can rag on him, he completely shuts him down "DON'T BE A DICK." BAHAHAHA. then he doesn't say *anything* about Jeff Porcaro, as JP had probably kicked his ass before for a similar bandstand offence.
